Introduction

Burgess Foundation (BF) is a Ugandan NGO that started in January 2021 licensed to operate in Mitooma, Kyenjojo, Sheema and Kampala Districts.

The Vision – To see lives of the vulnerable persons and families empowered and transformed.

The Mission – To enhance sustainable livelihoods through improved maternal health, girl child education and elderly care.

Burgess Foundation has some requirements to be fulfilled by its volunteers: (1) Age: above 18 years from (If you are below 18 years you need written consent from a guardian) (2) A positive attitude towards independent progress of others (3) A willingness to adapt to local conditions (4) A desire to interact and understand other people’s culture and philosophy of life (5) Be open-minded and willing to freely exchange ideas, information, and experiences without imposing your own values on others
