What We Do?

Maternal Health

Burgess Foundation lobby’s for maternal health resources to increase access to maternal health services through creating partnerships with NGOs and health centers to conduct antenatal services and sensitization on maternal health from the grass root level.

Access to Education

Burgess Foundation provides scholarships to bright and disadvantaged girls and boys to increase enrollment of children in schools. We also provide scholastic materials and after school programs.

Livelihoods Support

Burgess Foundation trains youth, women and men in the community with hands on skills; Liquid soap making, saloon dressing, book making, candle making and Vaseline making so that households can generate income for basic necessities.

Elderly Care

Burgess Foundation provides elderly with emotional support interventions. These are aimed at improving the well-being of the elderly by creating partnerships with health centers to conduct outreach elder check-ups and provide elder care engagements

Life Skills Training

Burgess Foundation provides life skills training to young people in and out of schools. The sessions allow people to reflect and challenge negative social norms in their communities that increase the risk of HIV/AIDS infections.

Menstrual Hygiene

Burgess Foundation provides education on Menstrual Hygiene and hands on skills training on how to make Reusable Sanitary Pads( RUSPS) to reduce on the rate of girls dropping out of school due to lack of menstrual hygiene products. Burgess Foundation also provides training and capacity building to BF staff, social entrepreneurs and volunteers so that they are equipped to champion menstrual health in their communities.
